The Muse Theatre: A Perry Venue in Watercolor

There are some places that instantly transport you the moment you walk through the doors—and The Muse Theatre in downtown Perry, Georgia, is one of them. With its Art Deco details and timeless charm, the Muse feels like a step back into a more elegant era, and it’s no surprise that it’s become such a beloved venue for weddings, celebrations, and community events.

For months, I received requests to paint the Muse, and I’m so happy to finally share that this watercolor is complete. Every detail—from the marquee to the character of the building itself—was painted with care, thinking about all the moments that have unfolded inside those walls. Birthday parties, milestone celebrations, rehearsal dinners, weddings… the Muse has truly seen it all.

Painting event venues is a different kind of joy. These buildings aren’t just beautiful—they’re places where memories are made. My hope is that this piece captures not only the look of the Muse Theatre, but the feeling of it too.

Prints of The Muse Theatre watercolor are now available, with marquee personalization offered for those who want to commemorate a special date, name, or event. Whether you were married there, celebrated a big moment, or simply love this downtown Perry gem, I’m honored to help you keep it close in art form.
